Alwyn graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2015. He was called to the Singapore Bar in 2016, and was elected as a Member of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators in 2019.
His main area of practice is in litigation and dispute resolution, with a focus on commercial litigation, construction disputes, and family law. He has acted for a wide range of clientele, including financial institutions, accounting firms, high net-worth individuals and private clients.
Alwyn also enjoys a busy conveyancing practice. He has acted for banks, corporations and private clients in a myriad of conveyancing transactions, including sale and purchase of property, refinancing and redemption of mortgage. Other non-contentious matters that he regularly undertakes include drafting of wills, and obtaining grants of probate and letters of administration. Alwyn also has experience in mergers and acquisitions, and drafting of corporate and transaction documents.
During his undergraduate years at NUS, Alwyn received prizes in Criminal Law and International Investment Law, as well as several scholarships. He was also part of the NUS team that reached the final of the Copenhagen Competition 2014, an international negotiation competition.
Alwyn is proficient in English and Mandarin, and conversant in the Cantonese dialect. He gives back to the community by volunteering at the Bukit Batok SMC MPS Legal Clinic.
